Andrey Lebedev – Guitar @ St Mary’s

Australian-Russian guitarist Andrey Lebedev is on a mission to redefine the relationship of the guitar to the classical mainstream. He studied with Timothy Kain at the Australian National University, and was a full scholarship student at the Royal Academy of Music under Michael Lewin where he graduated with a Regency Award and the David Russell Guitar Prize.

Andrey returns to St Mary’s Twickenham this autumn to perform an evening recital of Spanish and Latin music.

Laura Snowden – Guitar @ St Mary’s

Hailed a ‘string sensation’ by BBC Music Magazine, British-French guitarist and composer Laura Snowden gives a recital as part of the Guitar @ St Mary’s series.
Laura has been acclaimed for her ‘poise and intensity’ (Guardian) and playing of ‘extraordinary depth’ (Strings, Classical Music Magazine). The first guitarist to graduate from the Yehudi Menuhin School, made possible by the Rolling Stones, she was invited by guitarist Julian Bream to premiere his latest commissions at Wigmore Hall in 2015 and 2017.
